I just wanted to let you know that Kinch's Kountry Acres was wonderful!! Thanks so much! I will remember you if I know of anyone coming up that way or if I decide to revisit myself.

-- Amanda Edenfield

"Jim and June,

We just got home from our trip to Cooperstown Dreams Park and wanted to thank you for the great accommodations. The three ladies that stayed at your Applefield Guest House thought that they received a great place to stay at a great price. The cabin was clean and roomy with a gorgeous view. We will definitely recommend you to the future teams from Sandwich, MA that are heading out to Cooperstown.

Thank you again and feel free to share this message with any prospective vacationers.

-- Chris Russell"

The Bohm’s take great pride in the history of Old Maiden Lane and look forward to sharing their home with you.

Only 11 minutes to Dreams Park and 5 minutes to the Village of Cooperstown!

Ordinary on the outside, but extraordinary on the inside!

All new - from the gorgeous wood floors and big bright windows to the antique barn beams above.

Two cable TVs, WiFi and central AC!

Doubleday Field, Otsego Lake, and the Opera, this home is central to all that the area has to offer.

On the National Register of Historic Houses, just 3 miles from Downtown Cooperstown and The Baseball Hall of Fame, nestled in the quiet Hamlet of Historic Fly Creek, within walking distance of the General Store, Cider Mill, and local restaurants sits a newly refurbished 1825 cottage overlooking the well manicured old dairy cow barn and pasture.

Built as a subdivision for the bustling industrial Dutch settlement in the early 1800s, the four homes were central to the mills that lined the highway leading into Cooperstown powered by the large mill pond located next door.

The homes and surrounding lands were purchased under a single estate by the Medcalf family in the mid 1800s. Over the next 50 years the Murdoch family then Bliss family tore down the old factories and converted the old mill pond and grounds into an estate.

Looking from kitchen to great room.

The first floor features a large living room/dining room combination with cable TV, DVD, WiFi, fully equipped eat-in kitchen.

In the early 1900s the homes and lands were sold off and converted into residences and a dairy farm. Although one house and barn were lost to fire over the years, much of the old estate still remains.

The kitchen has doors leading onto the patio for convenience of fresh-air dining.
Two bedrooms on the first floor - a handicapped accessible queen bedroom with attached full bathroom and small sitting area with a futon for an extra guest, and a smaller bedroom with a full bed. Another full handicapped-accessible bathroom is near the kitchen.

The second floor has a private master bedroom suite with a queen bed with attached full bathroom.  All bedding and towels are supplied. Housekeeping is not provided.  There is a washer and dryer located off the kitchen.

Since cell phones work well in this area, no phone is provided

Shady side porch with gas barbecue.

Huge back lawn for games and a pond for fishing.

Just a short walk through the trail to the famous Fly Creek Cider Mill!

Over the past 6 years the houses and lands have been reacquired under single ownership once again by the Bohm family. They have been spending their time and energy renovating and restoring the buildings and grounds back to the turn of the century estate. Their hard work was recently recognized in the Fall of 2009 by the Otsego 2000 Preservation Society for an award of the pond restoration.

"Our rates are reasonable because we value your business."

Peaceful and quiet away from the main road.

With gas grill and summer furniture for your outdoor enjoyment.
